Our Senior Footballers got their County Championship campaign underway yesterday when they took on Kilsheelan-Kilcash in blustery conditions in Cashel.  Kilsheelan played with a strong breeze in the first half and capitolised on this going in at half-time leading 1-6 to 0-3, their goal coming from an Evan Comerford penalty.  With the breeze at our backs our young team set to work straight away reducing the lead and scores from Aidan Fogarty, Shane Doyle (2) and a well-worked goal from Shane Scully drew us back level.  From there we took the lead but found it hard to contain a string Kilsheelan side who responded to ourbest efforts and had a point to spare at the final whistle.

Team: Darren Russell, Éanna McBride, Michael Egan, Martin Delaney, Tom Murphy, Lorcan Egan, Neil Quinlan, David O' Shea (0-1), Paddy Cadell, Jordan Moloney, Lyndon Fairbrother, Aidan Fogarty (0-1), Shane Scully (1-2), Tommy Kennedy, Shane Doyle (0-6, 4f)

Sub: Jack Fogarty for Tommy Kennedy, Radek Natkaneicz, James Bergin, Adrian Bourke, Eoin Fitzpatrick, Cathal Scully, Stephen Quinlan

After a few false starts, our Junior B hurlers finally saw action this weekend when they commenced their league campaign against Thurles Gaels in Kickham Park.  Despite the concession of two early goals and the loss of Niall Martin to a red card, this team didn't panic and worked some very good scores to come out wiath a three-point win on a scoreline of 1-15 to 3-6.

Team: Denis Cody, Padraig Meade, Eamonn Kennedy (0-1), Michael Marnell, Frank McGrath, Eamonn Corcoran (0-2, 1f, 1 65), Niall Martin, Paul Hanley (0-1), Paddy Delaney (0-3), Donnacha Ryan (0-1), Paul Guider, Mikey Kennedy, Brian Roche (0-5f), Michael Cahill (1-1), James Moore (0-1f)

Subs: Niall Bourke for James Moore, Peter Burke for Mikey Kennedy, Darragh Kennedy, Joe Kennedy, Pádraig Guider, Stephen Maher Coonan, Keith Morris, Eddie Bergin, Michael Kelly, Joe Fitzpatrick, Rory Maher, Shane Bergin

Well doen to our U14s who won the County Feile Peil B Final on Saturday with a victory over Clonmel Óg thus qualifying for the National Finals in Co. Meath, continuing the success of last weekend when they also qualified for the hurling finals in Galway with a win over Borrisokane.
