Hard luck to our U16 hurlers who bowed out of this years championship following tonight's defeat. Moycarkey started the birghter and an early goal had them 1-2 to 0-2 ahead. Joe Bourke was in good form for Brackens from both play and frees while Brian Quinn and James Ryan also landed a point apiece from play. But Moycarkey finished the half with another major to lead 2-8 to 0-10 at the break. Brackens played their best hurling during the third quarter. Bourke added four more points (2 frees ) before a goal and a point from the lively Quinn saw us hit the front entering the final quarter ( 1-15 to 2-11 ). However two red cards in the space of four minutes put paid to our chances and as the space opened up the Littleton boys made hay, scoring 2-5 to our 0-2, to run out 4-16 to 1-17 winners. The club would like to thank Seamus O'Dwyer and his team for all their efforts throughout the year.
